The perfect quality fitment
We design, develop and manufacture all our car styling products in-house in the UK by hand, ensuring the quality and perfect fitment of each part sold. Each part we make is for the car specified. At Alpha Pods we absolutely do not sell universal fitting products. Universal fit products do not fit well and will not do your car justice. Alpha Pods is all about creating your own high-quality customised ride.

Our process
We follow an intensive process to create your perfect fitting, quality car styling products:

Designing a former
For every car styling product we sell, we first design and create a former. This is basically a template of the product. The former needs to be made to a high level of accuracy to ensure a perfect fit and produce the highest quality parts that Alpha Pods are known for.
Creating the former involves crafting a one-to-one scale model of the part from a variety of materials.

Finishing the former
Once the former is created, the hard graft doesn’t stop there. There are many days of sanding and filling the former until the fit is perfect. This is followed by many more hours of work to achieve a flawless smooth, high-gloss surface finish.

Creating a mould from the former
Next, a mould is cast from the former. The mould then undergoes its own finishing process and surface preparation before it can be put into use making the car styling products for your car.

Creating your car styling part
Now, from this mould your car styling part can be created.
This step involves creating layer upon layer inside the mould. The first layer is a black pigmented gelcoat layer which is allowed to partially cure. Next up, the fibreglass structure is made and laid inside the mould. This comprises of several layers of glass fibre matting and polyester resin. All the layers are then consolidated by hand rolling, helping any excess resin to be removed.

Your perfect fitting, quality car styling product is ready to be shipped to you. To ensure minimal breakages during transit, we thoroughly package the product using bubble wrap and cardboard and send it out promptly to you.
